Breakdown mechanics rescued a kitted that was stuck in a woman's car engine preventing it from starting.
The female driver Wannisa Klinsut, 32, pulled over in her Suzuki Swift to buy snacks but the engine conked out in Chachoengsao, Thailand, on July 4.
She called the emergency services who arrived and found a six-month-old car stuck between the car's bumper and radiator.
The team removed some screws from the bumper and used their hands to carefully extract the cat, placing it safely into a reporter's bag.
Wannisa said that she had stopped at a rest area on the motorway for less than five minutes to buy some items before continuing her journey.
She said: 'I couldn't start my car and then I heard meow sounds from behind the bumper. I called the breakdown team and they opened up the engine and removed the cat. They then removed the cat.'
After the incident, a news reporter who recorded the video took the cat to an animal clinic where it was diagnosed with an injured eye and suffering from cat flu.
It will now be put up for adoption to find a suitable home.
