Foreign thugs allegedly beat up a Kuwaiti tourist in front of a hotel in Pattaya, Thailand.
Video shows the burly men surrounding the Kuwaiti national, Yousef Alasemi, 26, who had taken off his shirt and took on a boxing stance, as they appeared to fight over a woman near the Yensabai Disco Mansion early morning on July 10.
The terrified woman was heard screaming as the gang put the outnumbered Yousef in a headlock until he fell unconscious on the pavement.
A Thai security officer in a hi-vis vests tried to intervene but was shoved away by the foreigners who towered over him.
One of the guards escorted the Kuwaiti man away from the scene while the gang continued their rampage and kicked a parked motorcycle. They later left on a Mitsubishi Pajero.
An onlooker, Sompong Ruengkham, 43, a vendor in the area, said: 'While I was selling chicken rice, I noticed the foreigners having a row on the street. The perpetrator was a Middle Eastern man driving a black Pajero with more than ten people.
'They had a problem with the other party, who was also a foreigner. Before the chaos occurred, the perpetrator assaulted the other party until he fell unconscious and lay on the ground. The cause was likely due to a woman.
Sompong added that the alleged aggressor was often seen circling around the alley on his motorbike.
The video of the brawl has been submitted to Pattaya Police as evidence.
Pattaya City Police Station officers said Yousef was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries.
A spokesman said: 'A group of foreigners, believed to be Arabs, assaulted a Kuwaiti tourist until he passed out. They also drove a sedan without a license plate, showing off by revving the engine loudly and showing no fear of Thai law.'
Cops said they were reviewing CCTV footage in the area to identify the other tourists.
Former fishing village Pattaya became popular with American troops on 'rest and relaxation' breaks in the 1960s when the U.S. military had bases in Thailand. In the ensuing years, the coastal resort spawned into a semi-barbarous sex-tourism hellscape.
Embarrassed officials have made progress in gentrifying the region with family tourism projects but a ravenous nightlife industry and corrupt police have hampered their efforts, with undesirables from all nations still attracted to the seedy city.
