This Vietnamese fisherman showed how he fishes for shrimp and crab in flooded fields during the annual monsoon rainy season in Vietnam.
Nguyen Van Tu, 62, goes to work at the ungodly hour of 3 am to go to work in the Tam Binh district of Vinh Long province, Vietnam.
With only a headlamp to guide him, he wades through the muddy ponds to set up traps. The area is flooded for a few months each year when rain is at its heaviest.
Nguyen then collects the haul of fish, crabs, and snails from the day before, and takes the bounty in buckets to a market to be sold.
He said: 'The work in the fields ends around 6am. At that time, customers are waiting to buy fish, crabs and snails.'
A kilo of the catch can fetch between three and 15 U.S. dollars at the local market.
