A pickup truck nearly hit locals having dinner when it crashed in front of a shop in Thailand.
CCTV footage shows the vehicle smashing into a parked pickup while turning a sharp curve along a highway in Rayong province on July 14.
The impact sent the parked truck rolling toward four men, who managed to flee before they could be hit.
The pickup driver, 25, survived the crash with minor injuries.
Pluak Daeng Police Station officers said they have collected evidence and will charge him with reckless driving.
Onlooker Jumrus Kunriya said the truck had hit the rear tire of a lorry while driving, causing it to lose control along the road.
Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
However, a lack of road safety education in schools along with notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws, and chronic under-investment in infrastructure, all appear to hamper the efforts.
