A devoted couple who were married for 70 years passed away just two hours apart in Thailand.
Pram Kleerim, 90, and his wife Jamlong Kleerim, 89, died peacefully of old age together at their home in Buriram province, Thailand, on July 12.
The man passed at 9:05 am, with his heartbroken other half following him at 11:35 am.
Their daughter, Luean Kleerim, 61, said the passings were bittersweet.
She said: 'My father and mother loved each other very much. They had been together for 70 years and had six children together - three boys and three girls. I am the third child, and my two elder brothers have already passed away. There are only four of us siblings left.
'Before their deaths, both my parents were fatigued because of their old age. They were close to each other and talked all the time until my mother became ill and had to be hospitalised.
'However, my father wanted to stay in the hospital to watch over her, but we forbade him because he was too old.
'We are sad, but we are also happy that they spent their last days together and will never live apart.'
Pram was overjoyed when Jamlong was finally discharged after three days at the hospital. Upon the woman's return from the hospital, the couple's joy was palpable as they spent their final days in each other's company.
Lueang said her dad would hold Jamlong's hand and chat with her constantly, and their children had to separate them for fear he would catch his wife's infection.
However, on July 12, the family found Pram no longer breathing in his bedroom.
Lueang said: 'When we told our mother 'Father has gone,' she tearfully asked us to bring her to him so she could embrace him one last time before returning to her room.'
Soon after, Jamlong's condition worsened, and she joined Pram in eternal rest just two hours later.
The family placed the unwavering couple's coffins side by side at a funeral attended by the villagers, who saw the pair as pillars of the community.
Their children and grandchildren said they were deeply saddened by the loss, but were taking comfort that the two were at already reunited in the afterlife.
