Thai officials are preparing for His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn's 72nd birthday this month.
Footage shows some of the preparations, with yellow flags and portraits of the monarch.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) held a rehearsal procession starting from the Grand Palace to the Ministry of Interior in Bangkok, on July 6. The actual ceremony will be held on July 28, marking the 72nd birthday of His Majesty.
The government has assigned the Ministry of Interior and the BMA to oversee the traditional sacred water ceremony, which involves gathering holy water from 108 sources across 77 provinces in the country.
On July 25, a procession will transport the sacred water to the Wat Phra Chetuphon Vimolmangklararm temple for a consecration ceremony, before presenting it to His Majesty the King on July 28 at the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.
