A pack of ferocious American Bully devil dogs broke free from their cage and mauled a pensioner to death in Thailand.
Lek Seepak, 70, was riding a bike to visit a neighbour when the hell hounds rushed out of the gate and attacked him in Khon Kaen province on July 24 evening.
The dogs' owner, Saowanee, 46, found her pets tearing into the hapless old man's face as she was returning home from the grocery.
Blood pooled around Lek's head and seeped into the ground while he screamed in agony for help.
Saowanee hurriedly drove the demon dogs back into their cages and called an ambulance to rush Lek to the Phuwiang Hospital. However, he tragically died from severe wounds that same night.
Lek's son, Prasert Seepak, said a relative had called to inform him of the horror dog attack. Just half an hour later, he received news of his father's passing.
Prasert said: 'I was shocked by the incident because my father usually takes a stroll around the village without any trouble. On the night of the incident, I do not know how or why he was attacked by the dogs.
'I knew that he was collecting money for the frogs that his neighbors had bought, but he was mauled. I have not yet spoken to the dog owners. I know they are school teachers.
'After taking my father's body back home for the funeral, I will talk to them because I want them to take responsibility.'
The killer canines were reportedly owned by Sakon Krongyut, 49, and his wife Saowanee.
Saowanee said that they were raising three American Bully dogs: Derby and Lisa, 3, and Chao Noi, 1.
She said: 'I went out to buy goods at a local store. I remember closing the gate, but I did not lock it.
'My dogs have never attacked anyone before, and I always keep them inside our compound.'
She promised to talk to Prasert and aid him with the funeral expenses.
Meanwhile, village leader Suthirak Duangtanoi urged the couple to put up signs warning passers-by of their aggressive dogs.
Thailand is notoriously unregulated over pets and there are no laws preventing people from keeping dangerous dogs.
In March, a housewife nearly lost her arm when she was mauled by a pit bull in Chiang Mai province.
Fon, 30, was visiting a local, Lamduan Boonrit, 68, when the vicious dog, Rod, 10, pounced on her. She was rushed to the Nakornping Hospital for 'serious injuries to the left arm joint'.
While last December, a disabled man was killed in a brutal pit bull attack in Chiang Rai province.
Thong Mai Sung, 64, reportedly had his throat torn out by two savage pit bulls that had escaped from their cage. He was rushed to the Mae Sai Hospital, but succumbed to the grievous injuries.
