Two tourists were rescued after they got lost in a forest in northern Thailand.
The Russian man and his Chinese girlfriend went for a hike on Doi Nang Moh mountain, but lost their way in the forest in Chiang Mai province at around 8:30 pm on July 27.
Before losing mobile signal, the pair managed to send their coordinates to the park office where they registered earlier.
Officers arrived at around 10:49 pm and found the exhausted tourists near the Mae Pha Nhaen reservoir.
Phueamphun Chaisit, president of the On Tai Subdistrict Headmen's Club, said: 'They were slightly exhausted and safe. They are being brought back down to the Mae Pha Haen reservoir. We are happy to have found them safe.'
The tourists were believed to have become disoriented in the treacherous terrain as night fell.
They were handed over to a rescue team to receive medical attention and be escorted back to their accommodation.
