TikTok influencer who ran illegal gambling site and spent profits on boob jobs arrested at airport

A female TikTok influencer was arrested for allegedly running an illegal gambling site to fund her breast implants in Thailand.

Chutima or 'Soda', who goes by the handle 'ZaDo ZoDa', reportedly operated the online gambling site Zigma911 with more than four billion baht (87 million GBP) in deposits.

She was due to fly to Laos, but was intercepted by police at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok on July 30.

Soda's arrest came after authorities found Zigma911 ads on Facebook and LINE promoting gambling games, including baccarat, slots, lottery, and sports betting.

Police found that she had been using the profits to finance the lavish lifestyle she flaunts on her social media accounts.

Before she deleted her TikTok account, the petite internet celeb often showed off her luxury goods, designer bags, clothing, and expensive jewellery to her followers.

In a sign of her wealth, she paid for a breast enhancement at one of the city's top clinics.

Chutima has now been taken to the Bangrak Police Station to be charged for allegedly violating the offenses under the Gambling Act, Computer Act, and Money Laundering Act.

Police have also cracked down on the website's administrators in a raid in Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Computers used to run the website were confiscated, but the suspects reportedly managed to escape after tampering with evidence. Some 20 more arrest warrants have been issued for the relevant individuals.

Meanwhile, Soda's co-manager, Payak, was nabbed in Pattaya and was also hauled to the Bangrak Police Station to be prosecuted.

The Cyber Crime Prevention and Suppression Special Operations Unit said the arrests were made in line with Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's directive to suppress digital crimes, including online gambling, underground lotteries, and call centre gangs.
