A pilot was killed when his plane crashed into an empty house in Thailand on Saturday.
Flight instructor Pudit Supawatanakul, 30, had taken the single-seater aircraft on a test flight but lost control and nosedived into a property at the Best Ocean Resort in Samut Sakhon province on August 3.
The emergency services were notified at 10:50 am, and rushed to the scene. They found the plane stuck in the roof of the burning house, while lying on the ground was Pudit's charred corpse.
Pracha Mungrukchon, manager of the airport where Pudit had taken off, said: 'The plane had not been used for three years.
'On the day of the accident, Pudit decided to test fly the plane because it was scheduled to be flown to an airport in Pathum Thani for maintenance. It underwent engine repairs before the accident.'
Locals recalled seeing the out-of-control plane plunge as it was circling back to the airport.
Pudit was the page administrator of a local aviation and aircraft Facebook page. He was described by his students as a skilled and experienced pilot.
Officials said they were investigating the cause of the crash.
