An Indonesian man allegedly killed his busybody neighbour for constantly pestering him about being single.
Parlindungan Siregar, 45, barged into the house of Asgim Irianto, 60, and reportedly attacked him with a piece of wood in North Sumatra, Indonesia, on July 29.
Asgim managed to run out onto the street, but Parlindungan chased after and struck him on the head. The furious man continued beating his unconscious bully to a pulp before other residents pulled him away.
Asgim was rushed to a hospital but died on the way.
Assistant Police Commissioner Maria Marpaung said Parlindungan was arrested and allegedly confessed to planning the murder.
She said: 'He was determined to beat Mr Asgim to death because of the frequent taunts about his single status.'
The pair had also argued previously over their chickens crossing over into each other's coops.
