A transgender 'predator' was arrested for allegedly blackmailing underage boys into making child pornography in Thailand.
Kantamet, 24, reportedly catfished teenage boys and tricked them into sending her obscene photos.
He had allegedly amassed a staggering 200 gigabytes of child pornography before he was caught by the High-Tech Crime Division and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security at her condominium in Bangkok on August 2.
Police Colonel Rungrert Khantachan, superintendent of the Thailand Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (TICAC), said the arrest followed a report from a father, who sought help to catch a suspect blackmailing his 17-year-old son.
He said: 'The victim was forced to be naked and film explicit pornographic videos several times a day for years and had to send them to the suspect on demand. Recently, the victim refused to comply, so the suspect sold these videos on Instagram.
'As a result, the victim suffered and began to isolate himself and experience paranoia. He has been wanting to stop going to school because he feared his photos might be discovered.'
Police Lieutenant General Worawat Watnakhonbancha, commissioner of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), said the transgender 'predator is a threat to society', adding investigations were launched immediately after the complaint was filed.
They found chat messages on X that reportedly showed Kantamet tricking the boy into having an online relationship and sending him nudes. Investigators also found that he also sold the pictures when the boy refused to comply with his demands.
During the raid on Kantamet's home, officers seized an iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPad Pro, and Apple Watch Series 6. The devices reportedly contained numerous child pornography files, and other catfishing accounts he had used to prey on other alleged victims.
Additionally, police found a mammoth 200 gigabytes of more child porn uploaded on Kantamet's cloud drive.
Kantamet has allegedly admitted to extorting his underage victims for several years.
Police Colonel Rungrert said he will be charged with 'human trafficking to produce or publish pornography', 'importing pornography into a computer system', 'possessing child pornography', and 'distributing child pornography'.
Authorities were co-ordinating with relevant agencies to help other minors who had fallen prey to Kantamet.
