Passengers were plunged into darkness during a brief power outage at an airport in Thailand.
Footage shows travellers walking through the dim corridors of the Phuket International Airport lit up with backup generators during the blackout on August 6 evening.
In a statement, the airport said: 'At 6:25 pm, there was a failure of the 115KV power supply system from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). The PEA's transmission line system was damaged and could not supply power. This resulted in a wide-area power outage in Thalang District, Phuket Province, including the airport.
'During that time, backup generators provided power to the passenger terminal and office building groups to maintain important aviation systems as specified without affecting aircraft services.'
Power was fully restored at 6:50 pm local time, with no flights disrupted.
Airports of Thailand Phuket apologised for any inconveniences caused.
