A German tourist was critically injured after falling from the third floor of a luxury hotel in Pattaya, Thailand.
Manuel Marc Norbert, 21, reportedly fell from the third-storey balcony, then fell through an awning of a high-end hotel along Pattaya Sai Song Road early morning on August 14.
Police Major Ittikorn Saikratok of the Pattaya City Police Station said cops received a report at 2:36 am.
Rescuers arrived and tended to the severely injured guest, seen in the video moaning in pain as he lay in a puddle of blood.
Police Major Ittikorn said: 'The man fell and shattered an awning on a lower floor. We checked his room and found no signs of assault. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment.'
Security guard Panya Suealek, 43, said that he had heard a metallic clanging sound before Manuel fell.
He said: 'I went to investigate the sound and found the foreign tourist sitting with his legs dangling from the edge of the balcony on the third floor. I tried to warn him to go back inside, but he fell and was injured.'
