Heavy rain in Vietnam caused severe flash floods in Hanoi's Old Quarter on Wednesday night.
Streets were submerged, making transportation difficult and forcing many shops to close. Some parts of the busy tourist street had water more than 20cm deep.
The deluge, which was exacerbated by inadequate drainage systems, highlights the challenges faced by the city's infrastructure in dealing with heavy rainfall.
Residents and shop owners blamed the government for the poor drainage.
