A Thai bondage fan demonstrated the ancient Japanese art of rope binding.
Footage shows Praeploy Prombutra trussing up a tattooed woman in the middle of a dimly lit studio in Bangkok, Thailand.
Praeploy, a professional photographer, said she became interested in the erotic art when a client came to her asking for a shibari-themed pictorial.
She said: 'When I saw it, I thought it was only done in pornographic films. It looked scary. But when I had the opportunity to take pictures of those things, I discovered that there was gentleness and security in it.
'It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.'
She added that tying other people up or being tied up herself helped her focus.
Although shibari has become associated with sex and BDSM over the years, it was said to have originated from the Japanese martial art of 'hojojutsu' - which uses a rope to bind a prisoner of war.
The practice eventually became a more aesthetic and visual art, which emphasizes the intricate patterns of the rope around a person's body.
Praeploy said: 'Many would say that shibari is mostly about sex and I won't deny it. It is 100 per cent for those with fetishes.
'But for some, they may feel like this could fulfil them. There are those who do it with no thoughts of sex in their mind.'
