American tourist attacks Chinese woman 'who bumped into him' in shopping mall in Thailand

This is the showing moment an American tourist allegedly attacked a Chinese woman who bumped into him in a mall.

The holidaymaker and his Thai wife were walking in front of a Hermes store when Zhang Yise and her family reportedly slammed into them at the Central Phuket Floresta mall in Phuket, Thailand, on August 19.

Zhang said she tried to apologise to the couple, but the husband allegedly began cursing at her. She claimed he kicked her in the leg and shoved her to the floor.

Footage shows Zhang and her family following the pair out of the building as both parties hurled expletives at each other.

The foreign man said: 'Don't touch me again, I'll lock you up.'

Furious Zhang tried to stop him from leaving. She said: 'You stay here! You kill me! You touched me! Stop here, you cannot go, I'll kill you!'

Zhang's mum, Wu Kuiyun, was heard off-screen hissing Chinese invectives at the pair.

The male tourist then called over security and told the officer the Chinese women started hitting them first. He spat more insults at Zhang and her mother, calling them 'stupid Chinese women, crazy Chinese women'.

Despite security guards intervening, Zhang and the tourist's Thai wife, seen in the video wearing a green blouse, had a brief scuffle while the couple were headed to the taxi bay.

Officers pried the two women apart and the couple finally left the mall in a cab.

Zhang went to the Vachira Phuket Hospital and later filed a complaint at the Wichit Police Station.

Police Major Yutthapon Promdao of the Wichit Police Station said: 'The Chinese woman said she called her Thai husband to notify the police that they were assaulted.

'She was trying to make the couple stay at the mall until police could arrive, but the tourist and his Thai wife refused to stop. We will track them down for questioning.'

The row sparked criticism from locals who slammed the alleged violent behaviour of the tourists involved.
