A Thai restaurant has added cow genitals to their soup - just like a League of Gentlemen ‘special stuff' menu.
The See Koy Fao restaurant uses different cow parts, including ears and knuckles, for their dishes - including crowd favourite - vagina soup in Khon Kaen province, Thailand.
Though the dish is only available upon request from the chef - just like the creepy duo in the BBC series that had 'special' meat under the counter.
Footage shows the owner, Krasin Klangchamnan, demonstrating how they prepared the exotic meal. He sliced the genitals in half and then cut them into smaller portions.
The meat is gelatinous from the fat but has a bit of meat inside. It was boiled for at least three hours and served in broth with spices.
Krasin said: ‘Last year, we introduced a special menu featuring male cow genitals. It was extremely popular, so we thought of using the female parts.'
Aside from soup, which costs 179 baht (3.97 GBP), they also serve the female cow genital dish in a savoury sauce with yam, onion, and tomato.
Krasin added: ‘The female cow's genital meat is smooth and has less tendon. It is very nutritious.'
Aside from the cow genitals, the restaurant also serves fried cow ears and boiled cow knuckles. All meat is boiled before being deep-fried in boiling oil.
Krasin said: ‘We only use meat from cows slaughtered that day to maintain freshness.'
Customers can also marvel at the restaurant's interior decorated with film projectors, antique bowls, cars, bikes, cans, and toys.
The restaurant is open every day from 10am to 10pm except on Buddhist holidays.
The League of Gentlemen was a British dark comedy television series. One fictional character in the show was butcher Hilary Briss, who sold a mysterious 'special stuff' with addictive properties, driving customers to desperate lengths for their next fix.
