Stranded stray dogs were rescued as severe floods submerged eastern Thailand.
The hapless canines were washed away by strong currents as waist-deep floods swamped Prachinburi province on September 4.
Rescue teams helping locals in the area evacuate tried to save the scared mutts, seen in the video clinging onto tree branches in a thicket.
Footage shows personnel trying to drag the scared mutts to safety using a rope. They eventually coaxed the strays to follow them using scraps of food. The rescue mission took 30 minutes.
Authorities said 3ft floods spilled into residents' homes and caused property damage amid the catastrophic rains.
The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) forecasted widespread thunderstorms and isolated heavy rains across eastern Thailand, including Prachinburi province.
Residents in the north and northeast regions were also warned to brace for heavy downpours as super typhoon Yagi churned over the South China Sea.
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
