This is the heartwarming moment firemen rescued a stray cat impaled on a resident's iron railings.
The moggie had fled to the neighbourhood rooftops to escape wandering dogs in Samut Prakan province, Thailand, on September 3. However, it botched a leap and landed on the spikes of a villager's metal fence.
The homeowner called firefighters after hearing the cat wailing throughout the night.
Footage shows volunteers sawing off part of the railing that was skewering the feline's leg. The operation took around 15 minutes.
The officers were about to give the cat first aid, but it darted away when its leg was released.
The homeowner said: 'I heard our dog barking strangely, so I went out and found the cat crying while stuck on the fence. It was impaled by a piece of iron, so I called the authorities to come and help.
'As for the cat, I don't know who it belongs to or where it came from. I think it was chased by a dog barking at it. It must have been scared and tried to jump away, but it missed the roof and fell.'
