Marine police rescued sailors who were stranded at sea during a storm.
The Marine Police Station 2 Division 7 launched a rescue mission after being notified that a fishing boat was left drifting off Pattani, Thailand, on September 8.
The vessel was reportedly carrying five fishermen. It suffered engine failure while being battered by rough waters and high winds.
Search teams found the boat drifting around 10 nautical miles from the mouth of the Pattani River.
Footage shows officers braving the swollen waves to reach the boat as the sea threatened to swallow it.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Niwat Chenglai, Superintendent of the Marine Police Division 2, Division 7, said: 'Officers of the patrol boat number 353 and rescue personnel were ordered to conduct a search and rescue operation to safely bring the missing boat and its crew back to shore.'
The small boat was said to have been separated from the accompanying vessel, the 'Buddy Fishing' ship, during the storm.
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
