This is the horror moment four villagers were killed while playing on a railway line in Indonesia.
Anita Andini, 37, Muhamad Al Ikhsan, 7, and Ted Alfarizi, 7, had just finished their breakfast and were crossing the train tracks in Karawang Regency, West Java province, on September 22.
They were playing around on the railway but were struck by the oncoming Fajar Utama train. Another local, Sahaman, 65, tried to save them but was also killed.
Iptu Suherlan, Kotabaru District Police Chief, said the accident happened at around 7am local time.
He said: 'A train passed going from Cirebon to Jakarta. They victims walked off the tracks and crossed to another adjacent railway. Unfortunately, at that time a train going from Jakarta to Cirebon was also passing through. The four people were unable to avoid it and were hit.'
One of the children was reportedly dragged six miles across the railway.
Kurdi, a resident who lived nearby, said: 'I heard screams so I went out to see what the commotion was about, and it turned out to be an accident.
'Actually, there were two trains passing by, but I was curious because the train horn was louder than normal. I went out of the house and I saw there were children and a woman hit by the train. Another was a grandfather, but that was on the other side of the tracks.'
The villagers' bodies were taken to the Karawang Hospital. They will be handed over to relatives for funerals after undergoing post-mortem examinations.
