A Chinese 'Del Boy' was arrested for allegedly selling fake bed sheets in Thailand.
Nong Yubin, 38, reportedly branded the counterfeit goods as high-quality Lotus Mattress products which he sold though livestreams from a warehouse in Saraburi province.
Police Colonel Wasan Thawatchaiwirut, superintendent of the Patrol Division, said the arrest came after representatives of the mattress company discovered Yubin's TikTok videos.
The police boss said: 'The suspect was selling and promoting bedsheets that used the Lotus Matress trademark using the TikTok handle 'Wants Shop'. His livestreams were found to be violating copyright.'
Authorities obtained an arrest warrant and descended on the warehouse to detain the Chinese vendor. They seized more than 20,000 counterfeit items estimated to be worth 20 million THB (460,177 GBP).
They also confiscated a computer with two monitors, a Logitech webcam, and lighting equipment.
Yubin allegedly confessed to selling fake bedsheets and admitted there were still more counterfeit goods stored in a warehouse in the Nong Kae District.
He will be charged with forging registered trademarks or imitating trademarks for sale or distribution, and importing products with forged or imitated trademarks.
