Housewives prepared rice cakes for a festival in Vietnam.
Footage shows the women stationed on the front of the house doing their designated tasks on mat-covered floor for the annual Tet festival on February 12.
Some of them spread glutinous rice floor on banana leaf sheet which was then filled with pork or mung bean filling by another.
Another group would then wrap the cakes called banh tet which are boiled and cut in half to serve.
A festival-goer said: ‘From early morning, the ingredients have been prepared, from the lush green banana leaves to the fragrant pork and the sweet beans.
‘Everyone has a task, all are enthusiastic and meticulous. The banana leaves are neatly folded, the pork is cut into bite-sized pieces, and the beans are washed clean.'
The banh tet that they made were shared by families and neighbours.
He added: ‘Tet cake is notj ust a traditional dish, but also a symbol of humanity, of sharing and hope.
‘The Vietnamese women have created a miracle, making the spring of the poor also warm and complete. They are shining stars in the hearts of many, the beauty of women, and the pride of Vietnam.'
