This is the dramatic moment a house collapsed into a swollen river amid heavy rain in northern Thailand.
Footage shows a large chunk of the riverside property crumbling into the water as flash floods returned to Chiang Mai province on October 4.
The Ping River in the Chiang Dao district had burst its banks and gushed into nearby communities.
Rescue teams were deployed to evacuate residents from at least 120 households as floodwaters of up to five feet breached the gabion barriers set up around homes.
Soldiers assisted in transporting elderly, sick, and bed-ridden locals on trucks to safety.
Heavy rains have been ravaging northern Thailand in recent weeks. The seasonal downpours have caused severe floods as rivers burst their banks.
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
