A heartbroken Indonesian man went on a rampage after he was rejected by his female Thai friend.
Iqbal Augustian, 37, confessed his love to Kanthida Kansanoi, 23, while they were having drinks with friends at an apartment in Samut Prakan province, Thailand, on July 11.
However, when the woman said she could not return his feelings, Iqbal became violent and started trashing her room.
Police Captain Ratchanon Yingsombat of the Phra Pradaeng Police Station said the apartment's tenants and landlord called the cops on Iqbal, who was arrested later in the afternoon.
He said: 'The suspect was a crew member of the Thanapornchai boat, which had docked at the pier for two to three days to deliver frozen fish.
'He was an acquaintance of the Thai woman, and had visited her room to drink with a group of four to five people last night.'
Footage shows officers subduing the still out-of-control man, who was uncooperative and kept screaming at the police. He had left the room and balcony in disarray, with blankets, bottles, and glass shards littering the place.
Iqbal's friend, Wanila, said she had left the room to buy more beer, but returned to find him going berserk.
She said: 'My three friends tried, but they couldn't him. So I went downstairs and decided to call the owner of the building and a motorcycle taxi to come help. The neighbour also came out to assist us, but Iqbal attacked him too.
'I called the police because we could no longer reason with him.'
An apartment tenant, Kansuda, 22, said she saw the Indonesian man sleeping naked inside the room before the police arrived to arrest him.
She said: 'I told Iqbal's boss that he had been arrested. He usually just sleeps after drinking, but this is the first time he went on a rampage.'
